New releases that hit cinemas in Thailand this week.

Pha-Dum-Kham-Ai

Directed by Wichita Wattananon.

Suphaphon “Nui” Somwichit, Phetthai Vongkhumlao and Endoo Vongkumlao.

What’s it about?

One night at a molam festival, as soon as the molam began to perform, people gathered around the stage. The molam talked about a city called "Mueang Sing Than Khon" ruled by King Pha Ngern, with a queen named Nil Phak, and the hero of the story being "Prince Pha Dam" who was handsome, talented, but still single. Meanwhile, the heroine was "Kham Ai", a beautiful, kind woman who lived far away from the city with a wicked stepmother and two younger sisters who constantly tormented her. The molam then introduced the story of Pha Dam and Kam Ai.
