New releases that hit cinemas in Thailand this week. 

Chapter 1: The Battlefield of Resurrection

Directed by Kongkiat Khomsiri.

Who’s in it?

Chanon Santinatornkul, Awach Rattanapintha and Akarat Nimitchai.

What’s it about?

During World War II in Chumphon, Mek, a new sergeant, and Mok, a younger brother of the Youth Military Unit, C.P.1, must face a mysterious threat when "something" Japanese disappears during a landing, causing Mok and his fellow youth to encounter something even more brutal than the dangers of war and fight against change helplessly. Although Thailand and Japan have declared a ceasefire, Mek receives a special secret mission to clean up the area with a Japanese combat unit, not knowing that it may include his younger brother.

Real-life police sting turns into a gripping thriller.


Fly Me To The Moon

Directed by Greg Berlanti.

Who’s in it?

Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum and Woody Harrelson.

What’s it about?

Brought in to fix Nasa's public image, marketing maven Kelly Jones wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis's already difficult task of putting a man on the moon. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as backup.

Why watch it?

A launch did occur at Cape Canaveral during production. The second unit was able to record the launch with their 4K cameras.


Longlegs

Directed by Oz Perkins.

Maika Monroe, Nicolas Cage and Blair Underwood.

What’s it about?

FBI Agent Lee Harker is a gifted new recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer. As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection to the merciless killer and must race against time to stop him before he claims the lives of another innocent family.

Why watch it?

Test audiences described the film as having imagery very similar to films such as The Silence Of The Lambs, Cure, Zodiac and Se7en.
