Wiman Nam (The Paradise Of Thorns)

What’s it about?
Thongkam and Sek, a gay couple, have worked tirelessly to build a life together, including owning a house and a durian orchard in Mae Hong Son. Tragedy strikes when Sek dies, revealing that they were never legally married in Thailand and leaving Thongkam with no rights to their assets. The house and orchard now belong to Sek's mother, who moves in with her adopted daughter and gardener. Thongkam must now fight to reclaim the fruits of his love and labour.
Why watch it?
The debut feature of director-writer Boss. The movie debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival or TIFF, which said, “As with the durian flowers that need an extra touch to pollinate, it’s imperative to build the right foundations to bear fruit. Thailand’s recently passed same-sex marriage bill — the first in Southeast Asia — is hopefully the first of many. 'The Paradise Of Thorns' is a testament to the long struggle ahead.”

Gekijô-ban Blue Lock -Episode Nagi (Blue Lock: Episode Nagi)

What’s it about?
Seishiro Nagi, a lazy high school sophomore whose catchphrase is “annoying", is discovered to have a talent for soccer by his classmate Reo Mikage, who dreams of winning the World Cup, and is invited to start playing soccer. After demonstrating his overwhelming soccer talent, Seishiro receives an invitation to the Blue Lock Project. There, he meets strikers from all over the country, including Kiyoyoichi, Hachiraku Mawaru and Itoshi Rin.

The Crow
