Comedy-horror sequel 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice' comes almost four decades after the original 'Beetlejuice'

Spring Garden 

Directed by Ku Born.

Who’s in it? 

Jo Yun-hie, Kim Joo-ryung and Heo Dong-won.

What’s it about?

The story is about So-hee who lost her happy family due to her husband's sudden death, and experiences strange and creepy things after visiting Neulbom Garden, a rural mansion left by her husband.

Why watch it?

A South Korean horror. Need we say more?!


Out Of The Nest 

Directed by Arturo A. Hernandez, Veerapatra Jinanavin, Jeff Schu and Andrew Gordon.

What’s it about?

In the Kingdom of Castilia, a dark force rises again. Days from the coronation of the new Emperor and Empress, their seven royal fledglings are taken and it's up to one hero to return them safely; a teenage delivery boy, Arthur the Goat. His dreams of becoming a world-class barber are put on hold when he becomes a parent overnight. If he's going to keep the rambunctious toddlers safe on their journey, he must first grow up, discover his own past, and along the way, awaken forgotten champions. Can Arthur return the heirs and ultimately save the kingdom?

The movie depicts the story of people fighting for their lives in an extreme situation when a passenger plane was hijacked in the airspace of Korea in 1971.

Why watch it?

A South Korean disaster film.


Pilot

Directed by Kim Han Gyul.

Who’s in it?  

Jo Jung-suk, Derek Chouinard and Lee Joo-myung.

What’s it about? 

Jung Woo goes from being a successful, popular pilot to being unemployed one morning. However, he succeeds in getting a new job after accidentally taking on a newly laundered identity.

Why watch it?

Actor Jo Jung-suk went to great lengths to perfect his role, shedding 7kg and undergoing acupressure therapy.


Vina: Sebelum 7 Hari (Vina Before 7 Days)

Directed by Anggy Umbara.

Who’s in it?

Delia Husein, Yusuf Mahardika and Lydia Kandou.

What’s it about?

Vina, a victim of a motorbike gang's atrocities in Cirebon, refuses to accept her death being labelled an accident. Her spirit intervenes within the seven days preceding the incident to reveal the truth behind what really happened.

Why watch it?

Based on a true story of Vina Dewi Arsita, a 16-year-old girl who became a victim of a motorbike gang in Cirebon, West Java, Indonesia in 2016.


Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 

Directed by Tim Burton.

Who’s in it? 

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Catherine O'Hara and Jenna Ortega.

What’s it about?

After a family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River. Why watch it?

Burton said that the film would only be made if Keaton would return to reprise his role. Keaton said in March of 2014 that this is the only sequel he's interested in doing.


aespa: My First Page

Directed by Jo Hyeon-jeong and Kim Ji-seon.

Who’s in it?  

Karina, Giselle, Winter and Ningning.

What’s it about? 

Since their debut in 2020, aespa has shown impressive growth with the mega-hits of their every album, including “Black Mamba”, “Next Level”, “Savage” and ‘“Girls". The first page of the story about aespa's radiant dream unfolds on the screen, including their new music world, the live recording of their performances, the first reveal of the honest interview of the four members, and the stories behind the scenes of their first concert in 2023 “Synk: Hyper Line”.

The group is known for popularising the metaverse concept and hyperpop music in K-Pop.


VIP Death Seat

Directed by Phasit Panitijaroonrod.

My Mate Nathan Bartling, Bank Piyawat Piyawacharavijit, Tony Charoensak Phothisrichai, Jack Papho Chaturong Paphothi, Eva Pawarawan Wiraphuchong, Mario Joke Yanadet Prachumrak, Mint Waranrak Pornpaweeworakul and Meme Nichapat Chaiyak.

What’s it about? 

The story of a half-Thai minimum wage worker, who wants to go back to his hometown to relax with his family during the long holiday. He uses his savings and bonus from his employer to buy a VIP bus ticket. The destination is the same as every year in the past. He has friends along the way, such as a gang of outspoken students, a foul-mouthed thug, a newly ordained monk and an old lady. However, on the trip home, there is a mysterious old woman who is ill and her body smells like a corpse. She gets on the bus with other passengers. During the trip, the old woman dies and her body disappears. Chaos ensues. Will they make it to their destination?

A journey full of horror.
