It’s time to get your spook on! Guru By Bangkok Post’s best picks for Halloween events this year (or rather, those that were sent to us).

Steps 

Steps has annouced the return of its annual inclusive Halloween party with the enchanting theme, "A Magical Night Of Wizarding And Spells". Taking place Oct 25, at Landmark Hotel Bangkok, this event will be an unforgettable evening filled with magic, fun and connection.

This year’s Halloween party is a celebration designed for everyone, with a special focus on creating an inclusive environment for the neurodiverse community. The event will feature a host of activities, including dancing, games and a photo booth, all set against the backdrop of a magical wizardry theme. In line with Steps’ mission of promoting neuroinclusion, guests need to be mindful of the different needs and behaviours in the room, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable to be themselves and enjoy the evening to its fullest.

Individual accommodations from our Accommodation Station will be available, but if you have a favourite set of headphones or a sensory toy you’d like to bring, please do. Guests can expect a selection of refreshments throughout the night, with a variety of delicious dishes on offer.


Goji Kitchen + Bar

Goji Kitchen + Bar at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park will host the scariest night of the year in style with a "Spooktacular Halloween Dinner". On Oct 31, the frightening feast will feature a spine-chilling selection of Thai, pan-Asian and international dishes, including devilishly delicious delights, scary live stations, creepy cocktails and more, all curated to give diners a ghoulishly good time. 

A spooktacular Halloween Station will showcase a scary selection of savoury dishes, including bone marrow with toasted bread & chimichurri, devil’s hand meat pies, ox tongue tacos, edible worms, ghost fennel sausages, spider octopus pizzas, whole-baked salmon with a black miso glaze, black ink ravioli, spicy buck salad, black ink braised squid, chicken in a dark dip, mixed grilled Asian delight and bucky sushi, while spooky sweets will include ghost cookies, “blood” pudding, pumpkin pie and pecan pie. 


The Standard, Hua Hin 

The Standard, Hua Hin has curated a line-up of electrifying events ranging from live sunset sessions to a spine-chilling Halloween bingo and a colourful Day Of The Dead fiesta. The end of the month brings with it the nightmarishly fun "Not Your Standard Bingo: Halloween Editions". Taking place at Lido on Oct 24, the night featuring a special spooky menu promises to chill unsuspecting bingo players to the bone.  

On Nov 1 enjoy the "Day Of The Dead: Beach Party", as the resort celebrates Mexico’s Día de los Muertos. An optional face painting session, tacos and tequila will be hosted on the beachfront lawn to the beats of DJs Bonita Everitt, Celeste Siam, Rujaya and Deejai. 


Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach

The mixologists will concoct a series of "Spooky Halloween Cocktails" from Oct 25-31. One spine-tingling drink will be available at each outlet, including Grave Yard at Big Fish, The Killer at Mama’s Kitchen, Blood Holy Water at The Lounge, and Snake Eye at The Andaman Kitchen. 

On Oct 31, children can get in the spirit of this ghostly festival with a series of Kids’ Activities, including a Halloween Party at the Kids Club and Trick or Treating. Amid an eerie yet upbeat atmosphere at The Andaman Kitchen, families can come together for a Halloween Buffet Dinner. This fang-tastic feast will be filled with frightfully delicious dishes, including succulent seafood, premium cold cuts, crisp salads, grilled meats and live stations with a wide range of international favorites, accompanied with live music. Every meal can end with plenty of decadent desserts, including a chocolate fountain, and little ones will be kept fully entertained with a Halloween Kids’ Corner.  


Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok

Haunt your taste buds with our Halloween treats at Bangkok’78, Sindhorn Midtown Hotel Bangkok. Indulge in a six-course dinner, featuring "The Lost Recipes x Mekhong in Halloween Edition". The menu includes Pomelo salad with fried catfish and orange zest, Crispy noodles, Young coconut soup, Pumpkin ravioli with sweet basil sauce, a choice of Grilled grouper with Southern Thai yellow curry or Steamed pork, chicken and prawn with herbs and palm sugar pudding with assorted sweet condiments. Paired with three Mekhong Thai whisky haunted cocktails from head bartender, Khun Nipun. Cocktail includes Fire Burn & Cauldron Bubble, Willing into our Midst and Blood Ruby Eye.

SoCal

SoCal at the InterContinental Bangkok summons "Bewitching Cocktails And Mocktails" on Oct 30-31 with a spirited Halloween line-up of cocktails and mocktails. Be caught in the web of the Black Spider, a tequila based concoction darkened by blackberry cordial before being brought back to life by orange liqueur and lime. The Brown Skull is a macabre mix of gin, Fernet-Branca, bitters and Maggio merlot.

The harrowing collection is completed by more intriguing titles, including the Bloody Day, Ghost Grey, and Serial Darker. Lurking among the mocktails is the Shadow Berry, a tricky treat of lychee, lemon juice and sherbet, soda and blueberries. Illuminating the occasion in true SoCal style is the Flamboyant Fruit with its cranberry, dragon fruit syrup, and elderflower. Conjure up a wickedly good time with a round inspired by the creatures of the night. 


Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok  

Things get spooktacular at Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok with Halloween-themed pastries and specialty drinks at Craft and Bar.Yard’s annual Halloween Party. Indulge in the drinks and eerie sweet treats. Sip on our limited-edition Halloween brews like the Spooky Latte, Goosebumps Chino, and Witches’ Brew on offer until Nov 3. Pair your drinks with our spooktacular pastries, including ghost-shaped cupcakes, mummy pies, Dracula cookies and more.

Unleash your wild side at Bar.Yard’s three-day party. Get ready for a spine-tingling celebration filled with mystery, fun and thrills. From Oct 31 to Nov 2, get ready for a thrilling party that will unleash your inner creature of the night. Dress in your fiercest animal print and enjoy a complimentary welcome drink. Dive into Bar.Yard’s Haunted House experience at Akkin to test your nerves or get transformed with free face painting, turning you into your favourite nocturnal creature and dance the night away to hottest beats by Bangkok’s top DJs. 


JW Marriott Bangkok 

Until Oct 31, indulge in a spooktacular array of Halloween-themed treats and cocktails at Bangkok Baking Company (BBCO) and Manhattan Bar at the JW Marriott Bangkok. Treat yourself to a range of eerie yet irresistible Halloween-themed desserts at BBCO. Choose from Halloween chocolate apple cake, candy corn cheesecake, pumpkin peanut butter cake, ghostly red velvet cupcake and Halloween chocolate chips macadamia cookies.  

Manhattan Bar offers three gin cocktails inspired by the sinister tales of wicked witches. The “Devil Witch” collection will cast a spell, while the “Young Blood” is a wicked witch’s elixir of youth, blending Bombay bramble Gin, crème de cassis, red wine cordial and tonic. In contrast “Poison”, a deadly potion brewed with Black sesame-infused Bombay Sapphire gin, apple cordial, bitters and tonic, offers a sinister twist. For those seeking redemption, “Awaken” is an antidote to dark magic, featuring a revitalizing mix of Bombay Sapphire gin, honey lemon cordial and tonic.


Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost, Bangkok’s post-apocalyptic rooftop bar is gearing up to celebrate Dia De Los Muertos, or Day Of The Dead, with an event filled with colour, music and culinary delights that pay tribute to tradition and memory. On Nov 1-2, the rooftop will be decked out for a fiesta in honour of the deceased that is celebrated in Mexico and other parts of Latin America. Guests will enjoy an electrifying line-up of DJs and live percussionists, as well as dishes like Abuelitas tacos and Pan De Muertos Y Mas, a traditional sweet bread that pairs perfectly with tequila or one of our unique Day Of The Dead cocktails.

The highlight of these is Death From Above, a lively tequila-based cocktail that combines the sweetness of passion fruit and pineapple juice with the freshness of ginger and lime. Bubbles and sunflower petals mean it’s easy on the eyes, as well as the palate. Guests can also get hands-on with a sugar skull painting station and unleash their creativity by decorating their own sugar skull to honour the deceased. Come dressed in the finest Dia De Los Muertos attire and immerse yourself in the festivities.


Tropic City 

Tropic City celebrates Halloween with Australia’s Caretaker’s Cottage and Singapore’s Offtrack on Oct 31. 

The "Sips And Sounds" takeover will see both guest bars showcase a few of their signature concoctions and tunes with their resident DJs for one night only. There’ll be a costume contest with a range of fun prizes. Dress up and arrive thirsty, ready to dance the night away. 


Ojo 

On Nov 2, Ojo will host the "Día De Los Muertos" (Day Of The Dead) celebration, with authentic cuisine, mesmerising visuals and live entertainment.

Enjoy a collabo between chefs Francisco Paco Ruano, Alonso Luna Zarate and Billy Otis of Taqueria Super Macho in Hong Kong, who will curate a menu inspired by the festival’s rich culinary history featuring a cold and raw station, taco station and passaround canapes. To elevate the night even further, guest bartender from Hong Kong’s award-winning bar, The Wise King will serve cocktails inspired by 13th-century Spanish tapas culture. Latin beats from DJ Hijo del Maïz and DJ Rui will keep the party going late into the night.


W Bangkok

Get ready to dive headfirst into the Halloween spirit with "Mustache Takeover — The House Of Horror" at W Bangkok on Nov 2. "The House Of Horror" is a twisted realm teeming with wandering souls, eerie creatures, and malevolent fairies, promising an unforgettable Halloween night. The first floor will feature Techno House music, while the second floor will host Nu-disco beats, ensuring a night of diverse and electrifying entertainment.

Bangkok’s favorite DJs, Dan Buri and Jules Blons, will play House and Techno beats, while guest bartenders Kris Du from Speak Low, Shanghai, and Cross Yu from Epic, Shanghai, China, will take over bar. Guests are encouraged to dress in their most spine-chilling attire and create memories that will send shivers down their spines. 


Beer Republic

Prepare for a spine-tingling adventure on Oct 30-31, as Beer Republic at Holiday Inn Bangkok unleashes a bewitching array of monstrously mouth-watering dishes and drinks. The "All Hallows Eve" will offer a feast of spooky icons.

Unlock the flavours within the Mummies Sausage Rolls, Freddy Finger Hell Salad and the Jason Burger. Adding to Beer Republic’s eerie brews are cocktail creations like the Jose Cuervo-based Red Bat, Absolut blue vodka forward Witch Tea and the Beefeater Gin headlining Death Mountain. The Bloody Cranberry, Ghost Fizz and Red Rock mocktails are also available.

The annual Halloween event, "Wild Spooky Rumpus" is back at theCommons Saladaeng on Oct 26 and at Thonglor on Oct 27. This year's theme is "Black cat & Boos". Activities include Signature trick-or-treat, Art & craft by Little Pea, Face-painting, Storytelling, Maze (only at Thong Lor) and a Halloween Market.
