ONE Championship will return to the US later this year with an “insane” card, CEO and chairman Chatri Sityodtong has confirmed.

The Asia-based martial arts promotion held its second event on US soil last September at ONE 168 in Denver, and was tentatively scheduled to come back to the country in May.

But vice president Rich Franklin revealed in a recent appearance on “The Ariel Helwani Show” that August was now the targeted date.

Speaking this week in Doha at the ONE 171 pre-event press conference, Chatri was coy on details for the next American venture, but teased another stacked event.

“I can’t [say anything]. I will tell you the card is going to be insane,” Chatri told the Bangkok Post.

“I’m obviously very excited – we have some big announcements, mark my words, some huge announcements coming down the pipe, I can’t wait to announce it.

“To be able to sell out all these different places is just crazy, and when we announce our US show I predict it will sell out very quickly.”

Hot off the heels of a sold-out ONE 170 event at Bangkok’s Impact Arena last month, ONE Championship is set to draw another big crowd in Qatar this week at Lusail Sports Arena.

March 23’s ONE 172 event in Japan is also close to selling out at Saitama Super Arena, in a busy start to 2025.

“Every year is the biggest year in history because we keep on topping what we’ve done. But this year all of our numbers are up – it’s like we hit an inflection point, and the hockey stick is going up,” Chatri added.

“This year we are going to be close to 70 events, if not more than 70, which is a record high for us.

“Last year we were a little shy of 60, or around 60 events. The shows just keep getting bigger, better and badder, thanks to our world championship talent and our fans around the world.”
