
Bangkok will host 31 sports at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games between Dec 9-20, while the first round of the men's football competition will take place in Chiang Mai and Songkhla.
The other two host cities, Chon Buri and Songkhla, will host 15 and 10 sports, respectively.
The semi-finals and the final of the men's football competition will be played at Bangkok's Rajamangala National Stadium, while the women's event will be in Chon Buri.
Bangkok will host aquatics (artistic swimming, diving, water polo, artistic swimming), archery, athletics, badminton, baseball, softball, basketball, bowling, boxing, cricket, cycling (road, track, BMX), polo, esports, extreme sports (sport climbing, water skiing, wakeboarding, skateboarding), fencing, floorball, football, gymnastics, ice hockey, ice skating; jujitsu, kickboxing, netball, petanque, rugby, sepak takraw, shooting, squash, table tennis, taekwondo and volleyball.
Chon Buri will host aquatics (marathon swimming), billiards and snooker, canoeing and rowing (canoe/kayak, dragon boat), cycling (mountain biking), equestrian, extreme sports (jet skiing), football, handball, hockey, modern pentathlon, practical shooting, teqball, triathlon, weightlifting and woodball while chess, football, judo, kabaddi, karate, boxing, pencak silat, sailing/windsurfing, wrestling and wushu will be held in Songkhla.
A total of 574 gold medals from 50 sports will be up for grabs.
