"Ticha" Kanticha Chumma first captured public attention when she won The Face Thailand Season 2 in 2015, a victory that transformed her life and launched her into Thailand’s entertainment industry. Now, a decade later, she continues to break boundaries, recently starring as Queen Master in Devil Angel Season 2 (2025). Yet, beneath the glitz and success, one thing remains unchanged—Ticha is, and always has been, a fighter.

A Barefoot Beginning
Born on 19 February 1995, Ticha's journey began in Nakhon Si Thammarat, later moving to Phuket and then Sakon Nakhon following her parents’ divorce. Raised in poverty by her grandmother, she recalls walking barefoot to school and surviving on sticky rice with salt, with mackerel as an occasional luxury.
"I got pocket money of three baht a day, saving two baht to call my mum abroad. Back then, international calls cost 50-60 baht per minute. Imagine how long it would take just to talk to her for three minutes," she shared in an interview with Woody FM.
Despite financial hardship, Ticha never felt deprived. The love and strength instilled in her by her mother and grandmother gave her an unshakable foundation. "Any insults on the internet can’t affect me because my family gave me a strong foundation from the start," she said.

A New World in Sweden
At age seven, Ticha moved to Sweden to live with her mother, a change that opened up new opportunities. Arriving with no knowledge of Swedish, she relied on body language and expressions, shaping the animated presence that would later define her on-screen career.
Growing up watching America’s Next Top Model, she dreamt of becoming a model. But her journey was filled with rejection.
"I got a lot of no's. I kept wondering—what am I lacking? And you start to feel your self-esteem drop," she told the Bangkok Post.
Still, her determination never wavered. She eventually landed small modelling jobs, even though the industry’s structure in Sweden meant limited financial returns. The experiences, however, laid the groundwork for her biggest breakthrough.

Fighting to Win on The Face Thailand
After finishing high school, Ticha returned to Thailand to audition for The Face Thailand Season 2—a decision that would change her life. Initially met with skepticism over her height and darker skin, she defied industry standards with her confidence, authenticity, and relentless determination.
Her semi-final speech remains iconic:
"Thank you, P’Bee, for giving me the opportunity to prove myself. If you told me to jump, I’d ask, ‘How high?’ If you told me to dive, I’d ask, ‘How deep?’ I’ve been fighting from day one, and I will always keep fighting."
Her fearless spirit won over the judges and the audience, securing her crown.

Expanding Horizons: From Acting to Advocacy
Following her The Face victory, Ticha expanded her career into television and film, making her acting debut in My Name Is Single (Melodies of Life) (2016), and appearing in the hit film Brother of The Year (2018) alongside Yaya Urassaya.
Beyond entertainment, Ticha has championed sex education, launching her YouTube channel I KAN TEACHA | SEX ED, where she promotes open, honest discussions on the topic. Her fearless advocacy has amassed over 800,000 followers, proving that she is not just a model or actress—but a voice for change.
With resilience, determination, and an unwavering sense of self, Ticha Kanticha has turned every struggle into strength, inspiring countless individuals.
