Old Names, New’s Name

Before becoming known as New Chayapak, the young star underwent several name changes. In an interview with True CJ Creation, he shared a lighthearted story about his habit of sleeping in class, arriving late, and completing homework at the last minute–a pattern that prompted his parents to rename him ‘Chayapak,’ meaning a person loved by many.

"If you're not good at studying, at least be a good person and have people who love you," New recalled with a laugh, reminiscing about his parents’ advice.

New Friends, Still Friends

In a conversation with LOOKE, New reflected on his early years, admittign that he never excelled in any particular field–not in sports, music, academics, or even his favourite video game. When asked about his aspirations, he often responded that he wanted to be a businessman, merely following in his father’s footsteps without a clear passion of his own

His academic journey took him to Suankularb Wittayalai School, where his grades began to decline as he prioritised spending time with friends over studying–a choice he never regretted.

“Whenever I feel down, I scroll through my phone and see all those high school pictures. Those are precious memories–I really miss them,” he said.

A New Passion

As university admission approached, New pushed himself to improve, despite still lacking a clear career direction. He eventually enrolled at Srinakharinwirot University’s College of Social Communication Innovation, majoring in cinema and digital media.

During his studies, Nadao Academy launched its Star Trainee Programme, and New decided to audition. He made an acting debut in I Promised You the Moon (2021), the sequel to the acclaimed BL series I Told Sunset About You, starring Billkin and PP Krit. This project marked the beginning of his collaboration with Boss Kuno, the director of Gelboys (2025).

Entering the entertainment world and witnessing his seniors' passion, New finally found his dream—acting. “I don’t know how this will end. And even if there are things I’m not good at, I’ll keep improving at every opportunity,” he said.

The Gelboys Phenomenal

During his senior year, New interned as an assistant on Paradise of Throne (2024), starring Engfa Waraha and Jeff Satur. He also took on supporting roles in the Thai-Singaporean horror film The Antique Shop (2022) and the Thai drama Thank You Teacher (2023) alongside Cherprang Areekul.

His true breakthrough came with Gelboys (2025), where his charismatic portrayal of Four-Mod—a role that closely mirrors his real-life personality—earned him widespread recognition. His multifaceted talent also shone through in the series’ original soundtrack, RED FLAG, which he performed.

A Person Loved by Many

New’s dedication has not gone unnoticed. In an interview with Vogue Beauty Thailand, his Gelboys co-stars praised his professionalism and commitment to his craft. Despite his childhood habit of skipping homework, New now meticulously studies his characters, paying attention to even the smallest details.

From wandering without direction to relentlessly pursuing his dream, New Chayapak’s journey to his breakthrough in Gelboys showcased his growth and passion, earning him the admiration of both peers and fans—true to his name, a person loved by many.
