In recognition of its efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and lead the cement industry in collaboration towards Net Zero 2050, the Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) has been honoured with two prestigious awards: the “Excellence Trade Association 2024” and the “Outstanding Leadership of Trade Association 2024,” presented by the Ministry of Commerce.
Dr Chana Poomee, Chairman of TCMA, highlighted the association’s commitment to achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, as outlined in the Thailand 2050 Net Zero Cement and Concrete Roadmap, which aligns with the national policy on greenhouse gas emissions reduction. TCMA fosters collaboration among all Thai cement manufacturers and partners with various sectors both domestically and internationally, focusing on climate action and cooperation towards Net Zero 2050. This approach integrates the Thai cement industry into a global model, encouraging cooperation, support, and the linkage of green funds to Thailand, all aimed at achieving Net Zero 2050.
Thanks to this ongoing commitment and effective collaboration, TCMA’s work has been recognised for its mission achievement, management efficiency, service quality, and organisational development. These factors contributed to the association’s success in receiving the “Excellence Trade Association” and “Outstanding Leadership of Trade Association” awards for 2024.
It is a great honour for TCMA to receive these two prestigious awards, continuing its recognition from 2023 when it was similarly awarded for mission achievement and service quality. These honours serve as a morale booster for TCMA and stand as a testament to the dedication of the TCMA committee, staff, working groups, and members—all of whom share the common goal of driving the cement industry towards net zero carbon emissions by 2050. TCMA extends its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce for this recognition and to all relevant agencies, including government, industrial, professional, academic, and social sectors, for their unwavering support and cooperation.

TCMA will also continue collaborating with the government and all sectors to accelerate the ‘SARABURI SANDBOX LOW CARBON CITY,’ a model low-carbon city developed under the 3P principles: Public-Private-People Partnership and 3C principles: Communication, Collective Action, and Conclusion, step by step. Moreover, TCMA will incorporate world-class models into Thailand in terms of cooperation, support, and green funding to ensure the transition to Net Zero by 2050.”
