The company urges supply chain businesses to embrace carbon footprint assessment tools and market mechanisms for a sustainable future.

Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited is reinforcing climate crisis awareness and promoting carbon footprint assessment tools to drive sustainability across the supply chain. Mrs. Gloyta Nathalang, Senior Executive Vice President, Sustainability Management and Corporate Communications, stressed the urgency of climate action, outlining Bangchak’s commitment to carbon neutrality by 2030 and net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 under the BCP 316 NET plan.

Speaking at two high-profile sustainability forums, Mrs. Gloyta highlighted the necessity for businesses within the supply chain to actively engage in the low-carbon transition. She promoted the corporate carbon footprint assessment tool developed by the Carbon Markets Club, which helps businesses measure emissions effectively and leverage carbon market mechanisms to support energy transition initiatives.

At the Collaborating for Sustainability Seminar, hosted by INSEE Ecocycle Company Limited on 7 February 2025 at Grand Centre Point Pattaya, Chonburi, Mrs. Gloyta delivered a keynote speech titled "Green Energy Transition and Sustainability Journey – Action Toward Net Zero Journey." She outlined pathways to clean energy adoption and net-zero emissions, addressing INSEE Ecocycle executives and partners. The event also featured a vision statement by Mr. Bruno Fox, CEO of INSEE Ecocycle, who underscored the company’s commitment to environmental leadership and a sustainable future.

Further emphasising Bangchak’s sustainability efforts, Mrs. Gloyta participated in the Net Zero Accelerator Program (NZAP) 2025, organised by SCG (The Siam Cement Public Company Limited). The programme supports businesses in transitioning toward a low-carbon society through awareness and capacity-building in climate change mitigation. Mrs. Gloyta served as a speaker and panellist on "Trade Mechanisms and the Carbon Market," alongside Mr. Patkamol Tattipong, Senior Trade Negotiation Officer at the Department of Trade Negotiations, and Ms. Anothai Sangthong, Director of Communications and Carbon Registry Office at the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organisation (TGO). The session took place at SCG Headquarters, Bangsue, on 14 February 2025.

Bangchak’s advocacy for carbon footprint assessment and market-driven climate solutions underscores its role as a sustainability leader, driving collaborative efforts for a greener, low-carbon future.
