Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd., the developer of Bitkub Chain, has announced a significant rebranding and strategic shift, transitioning to KUB Chain with the aim of establishing itself as a globally recognised decentralised public blockchain. The announcement was made at the ‘Bitkub Chain: The New Era’ event, where key partners such as Huawei Thailand Cloud Business, MetaverseXR, and AppMan pledged their support.

The transformation to KUB Chain is led by Passakorn Pannok, CEO of Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd., with the unveiling of a new name and logo, replacing Bitkub Chain with KUB. This rebranding reflects a broader vision to democratise opportunities, enhance economic value, and foster a more inclusive blockchain ecosystem. The company plans to work closely with regulatory agencies and stakeholders to assess the feasibility of transitioning to the KUB Foundation or another non-profit entity, such as the KUB Association, to oversee the blockchain’s development and governance.
To drive growth and technological advancement, KUB Chain is committed to strengthening community engagement and expanding its ecosystem. The network will support developers through KUB Grants, encouraging the creation of decentralised applications (dApps). Looking ahead, KUB Chain aims to upgrade its Mainnet capacity to handle up to 500,000 transactions per second by 2027 and increase the Total Value Locked (TVL) on the network to USD 300 million. Additionally, integration with the Polygon and Solana networks is in the pipeline to enhance interoperability and expand blockchain connectivity.

Meanwhile, Bitkub Blockchain Technology Co., Ltd., under the leadership of Niorn Kiatdamrong, Chief Commercial Officer, will focus on delivering comprehensive blockchain solutions. The company will act as a Blockchain Consultant and System Integrator, offering Blockchain as a Service and Smart Contract auditing to businesses looking to integrate blockchain technology into their operations.
The ‘Bitkub Chain: The New Era’ event also provided updates on NFISpace, a secondary NFT marketplace from Hong Kong, and featured a panel discussion with key blockchain infrastructure leaders, including JFIN, SIX, and KUB. Speakers such as Thanawin Ratametha (J Ventures Co., Ltd.), Watchara Aemwat (SIX Network), and Samret Wajanasathian (KUB) shared their insights on the future of blockchain technology and its evolving role in the digital economy.
This transformation underscores KUB Chain’s commitment to technological innovation and its ambition to elevate Thailand’s blockchain industry onto the global stage.
