CP Group CEO Suphachai Chearavanont has expressed strong confidence in the appointment of Sigve Brekke as Group CEO of True Corporation, believing his leadership will propel the company to the next level and strengthen CP’s digital ecosystem. This move aligns with CP’s vision of positioning Thailand as a sustainable digital economy.
Mr. Brekke, who takes on the role of Executive Chairman of Telecommunications and Digital Business Group, CP Group, from 1 March 2025, will oversee operations in Thailand and Southeast Asia. His responsibilities include driving the growth of CP’s telecommunications, media, and digital transformation initiatives, spanning key areas such as cloud services, AI, and e-commerce.
Following the approval of his appointment as True Corporation’s CEO, Mr. Suphachai reaffirmed his confidence in Mr. Brekke’s leadership, stating: “He brings extensive international experience, a strong grasp of the Thai market, and a reputation for innovation. His leadership will build on True’s existing strengths and establish it as a world-class tech company.”
Mr. Brekke, who has lived in Thailand for 13 years, is set to spearhead digital transformation initiatives, particularly in Food Tech and Traceability, leveraging AI and cloud-based solutions to enhance transparency and efficiency. His expertise will also drive advancements in FinTech, e-commerce, and AI-driven services, ensuring True’s evolution into a technology powerhouse.
With the wider adoption of AI and cloud technology, True Corporation will require top-tier capabilities, and Mr. Brekke’s entrepreneurial leadership is expected to be instrumental in driving change.
