Bangchak earns carbon footprint certification for low-carbon products

Recognition reinforces leadership in reducing emissions and driving sustainability

Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and low-carbon innovation, Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited was recently awarded Carbon Footprint of Product (CFP) certifications by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO). At a ceremony held on 19 March 2025 at the Thailand Institute of Justice in Bangkok, Ms. Kittima Wongsaen, Executive Vice President for Corporate Strategy and Business Development, accepted the certification on behalf of Refinery Optimization and Synergy Enterprise Company Limited (ROSE) from Dr. Chalermchai Sri-on, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.

Bangchak remains committed to developing and distributing low-carbon products that significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Five certified products—fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), high-speed diesel, gasoline, and kerosene (jet fuel)—emit 13% to 39% less greenhouse gases than the national average, as assessed by Open Government Data of Thailand, and outperform domestic and international refinery benchmarks.

The company has maintained Carbon Footprint of Product certification from 2018 to 2022, with the latest registration extending from 2023 to 2026. This milestone reaffirms Bangchak’s leadership in low-carbon innovation, supporting Thailand’s transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy.
