Wat Mahabutr, home to Mae Nak Phra Khanong's shrine

Wat Mahabutr, built during the late Ayutthaya period, is widely known as Wat Mae Nak Phra Khanong, housing the shrine of Mae Nak, one of the country’s most infamous ghosts. 

Worshippers visit the temple in Bangkok's On Nut district to seek good fortune before government lottery results, while young men pray for exemptions from military service.
